HOW DOES MICROLIPOSUCTION DIFFER FROM OTHER FORMS OF LIPOSUCTION?

Tumescent liposuction refers to liposuction where a specialized form of local anesthesia is used. NeckTite is similar to BodyTite but the treatment involves the neck. SmartLipo is a form of tumescent liposuction that uses a laser to heat the fat. WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF MICROLIPOSUCTION?
The side effect profile of MicroLiposuction is similar or less than that seen in the traditional form of liposuction such as tumescent or BodyTite forms. Due to the fact that patients are treated under local anaesthesia, the risks of full general anaesthesia are eliminated. Depending on the size and location of the MicroLiposuction area, patients can resume activities within hours or days after the procedure. Depending on the individual patient characteristics and the extent of the MicroLiposuction procedure performed, patients can experience some skin and tissue irregularities, changes in colour, contour or sensation, pain as well as small scars at the MicroLiposuction cannula entry points. Generally speaking, these side effects are manageable with time although in some circumstances additional treatments may be required.
