What Are The Treatment Sessions Like?
Quick and Easy! After your initial preparation, we gently cleanse the area to be treated. Next, a wand-like handpiece is applied to your skin. The handpiece emits the light that disables the hair follicles. In a fraction of a second, all of the treated hair follicles are disabled. Most people perceive the light as a gentle “snapping” sensation. Once this is completed, a soothing lotion will be applied, and you’re ready to go.

What Should Most People Expect After Treatment?
Most people experience some mild redness and tenderness in the treated area shortly after treatment. This does not interfere with normal activities and usually subsides within a day. In some cases, the redness may last longer, but will still be mild and temporary. Before, during and after the treatment, we will discuss other, less likely side effects with you.


How is IPL Removal different from electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a much slower process. With electrolysis a needle is actually inserted into each hair follicle, one at a time. Once inserted, an electric shock burns the follicle to retard hair growth. IPL Hair Removal uses the light to scan the treatment area and within minutes all of the hairs in the light beam are treated. Most patients who have had both procedures say that IPL Hair Removal is less painful, faster and more convenient.
